The Rugby & District Talking Newspaper for the Blind offers a weekly audio cassette tape of local news to our blind and partially sighted listeners.
Listeners are asked to provide their own cassette player however, a small number of tape players are available on loan.
Each 90 minute tape has local news on Side A followed by a carefully chosen collection of information on Side B.
This may include:
- Births, Marriages & Deaths
- Late Chemists
- Lighting up times
- Weather forecasts
- Sports news
- Road works/footpath repairs
- etc
The information is taken from the Rugby Advertiser and the Rugby Observer.
Currently there is no digital edition of the Rugby Talking Newspaper but this may change should our members request this format.
